Confessions Of A Poetess:  Spread Across Your Sky

Split me apart, my fragments will scatter in repulsion,
I’ll go supernova heart.
Then you’ll see me light up your sky in streaks of borealii.
The love you make here will become the rain
percolating through the forests of your knarled mind.
Where, love that binds, engorging your envisionings
will carry you along in the shelter of your contritions.
Sense will remind as I spread to indemnity
and let you taste the bitter fruit.

Damnations damsel dampening in daydreams,
You saw her there, she was me.
How I aspired to her as for you, I came unraveled
at the seams.
In you, I wanted to be reborn; to kill her off ---
My old self; she needed a man.
How I tried to leave her on a curb but she would not remain.
I dragged her like yesterdays tag-ends hearing the
death-rattle of her heart as she cried in vain.
I would drag the poor child through many things
to scatter her across your fertile sky in flecks of
your minds recreation of her.

And you, the thing that might destroy her,
put her out of her misery as she lights up your night sky
to shine eternally, her beating heart still twitching in your hand
while you twitch in mine and I steal your breath from this moment,
the fragments of my decay to inhabit and invade your lungs
in a necrosis of your innocence.

How I can taint your faintest recollections this way,
my inkwell spilling onto the blank pages of your hopefulness.
Ill render you in shades of blackness in my lake of opacity
to where my damaged inner girl retreats.
Here, the night sky will be so reflected, a dancing illusion.
You will chase this in vain.

See, I’ve already inhabited you, just look within your enigmatic dreams.
You reached for the stars to find me, lifting off your lunar landings
to loveworn curiosity, to never die, as within me,
you never will.

Painted there in your stars, the little girl came back to life
as she watched you drown in her reservoir of entrapment.

Ecstatically will she suck you into her black hole
and here, you will become as immortal as the stars.
