[ NaPo 2019 ] Wisteria Lane
She took me on tour
walking Wisteria Lane
reciting Proverbs from a book
that tested this earthbound brain
in ways numbering some
thirty pages
totaled
Every cold breath inhaled
was autumn death on parade
and a springing to life that followed
So many promises made
Karmic debts owed paid in full
Filled with potential
every chain linked oversoul;
their metal more precious
than silver and gold
Willed into being
stories yet to be inked;
untold
