With You, With Me

It was midnight and I was sore
pressure mounting or did it fall
the rains had came, like they before

my vision empty, my future fear
but thru the darkness, the one appeared

you wrapped these arms, and soothed this night
fulfilled my heart, and held me tight

we linked, but not by metal or bone
nor flesh, nor tears, but anchored souls
adrift but still, in a life that's cast
I the sail, you the mast

the sea she's rough but you bring calm
in storms, in sun, new battlegrounds
I see, you see, you see, I see
a life set forth with you, with me
