When an email came from the Sky  
out of nowhere, I say!

Innocently, I gave her all the time  
She needed to heal.  
This took the monkey    
off my back for the day.

When another email came from the Sky  
She really needed me today!

I gifted her all my time;  
Listening and giving  
Ghost Hugs  
(You can’t feel it but it’s there)

When a DU_PM  came from the Sky  
Want to chat in Google Hangouts?

Desiring to know her better  
I put the monkey on the shelf.  
Chatted about anything  
Chatted about everything  
Chatted as time seemed  
to stand still.

I put the monkey back on the shelf  
Sprinted over to  
Google Hangouts  
Wasted the day and night away  
basking in the addictive  
warmth of her voice and sway.

Forgot to settle down for 4 hrs of chess  
Forgot 2 for study; forgot 2 for play  
Didn’t wake the monkey that day.

Spent all my time with Sky  
she didn’t have to    
email    
or DU_PM  
I waited for her to wake  
after coffee made  
Wasted the day and night away  
Repeated this for many days

Forgot all about the  
Chess Monkey  
dusty    
&
