Nothing does impress
Like a bright red dress
So, I chose scarlet threads
To impress the Lords
And shock the Emperess
Some will think I'm
An attractive exhibitionist
But my kin, Elizabeth
Will think I've lost my head

Thanks. Ever since, as a teen, I read how shocked the court was by Mary's red dress I've found the color to be an intriguing fashion statement.
After reading Kim's poem I just couldn't keep myself from contributing a little scribble.
