Denouement

She comes with the dimming stars
The near procession of black cars
His affliction at the closing stage
As he turns the final page

He recalls a wayward life
His existence of turmoil and strife
He takes the night time to reflect
On years of tumult and neglect

He still considers times of peace
Days of joy, and sweet release
Satisfaction in his final breath
As he welcomes his Lady Death.
