Insignificant Me

I am a letch I’m afraid
It must be said
But a gentleman too
(When not in the bed)

I’m a lover of nature
And all things wild
And prone to exploring
As freely as a child

I’m known for my temper
Both fierce and quick
But am easily calmed
A sweet smile does the trick

I’m a generous lover
Always desperate to plead
Your pleasure is not for you
But my own aching need

I love written word
But am shy of speech
Rare to offer opinion
Or help beseech

I am constantly moving
With energy abound
Relaxation and rest
For me are seldom found

I’m likely to disappear
To the obscurity for many
But the ones I can please
Are worth every penny

So this is insignificant me
Laid open for many to see
There’s so much more to me, of course
But perhaps merely words, is all I will ever be.
