they'd weaved into you their snide remarks
attacking relentlessly
damaging the person you were meant to be
once they had looked like monsters
now they aren't even that
they moved into their own clicks
forgetting the shit things they had done
but you never forgot
no, it's like yesterday those feelings
diving into your hobbies
you still long for some kind of purpose
too afraid to even move forward
to do so my leave you vulnerable
and being vulnerable is to repeat the pain
even though I can't change your view
or make right the past
I want you to know i'd never do that
could never turn my back in that way
your mind plays tricks
has you believing you're invisible
don't listen, just hear my voice
look at me, and know that I care so deeply
when I say I love you, I mean it
you're not invisible to me
you're everything in my eyes
and I will devote all my time
if only I could make you see

I know the feeling a bit myself, but not as much as my wife. It's heart breaking to see someone feel that kind of hurt. I just try to be supportive. Thanks for taking the time to read my poem.

I do cherish her very much. Outside of poetry I'm not that great at showing it. Though I think she knows I support her as much as possible.
She isn't much for poetry though. I did write a poem with her once years ago, but she's a different type of writer (paranormal erotic books).
She has been feeling down lately due to her mental stability. It's always hard to see her down moments.

Yeah, she was bullied pretty bad when she was younger. I was too but I always was a fighter. Someone picked on me I would fight them if I had to no matter how big. But she was in a school where status was everything. Rich kids picking on the not so rich. Fucking snobs really lol. This poem was really the feeling of me wishing I could of been there. Because right now no one fucks with someone I love. I know if I was there I could of protected her.
