black holes, cigarettes, and alcoholism
i've known for a while now
that there is more to poetry
than "poetic devices"
and all that shit
they teach you in creative writing classes
and basic english
for fucks sake
i rarely want to write when i'm happy
so let us all fall into that black abyss,
the typical shit
ignorant
inside the soul
inside their head
ignorant
of the necessary relation through words
it's the only thing that fucking works
anymore

it's a bit of a story itself;
a girl was watching a documentary on black holes
her step dad comes out and flips. completely and utterly flips.
(he's only happy when he's drunk)
she's silently crying
the whole time her mother is between the two smoking a cigarette and saying nothing.
I write a lot. Not a lot, but enough.
Enough to read a lot, to know those who do and who don't.
I'm not very fond of the "typical" assumptions of those who know little about certain things. The story, my discontent with what happened and general discontent towards what poetry appears to be and not what it can be, is related. Here it is, folks.
