Quiet Haiku🌿

( renga with linked haiku )

🐅
a tapir stays low
holds its breath in the stillness
—motionless tiger

🐊
a crocodile slips
soundless into the river
—startled cranes flying

🌌
from steamy night’s heat
a full moon shimmers brightly
—the sleeping village

Author's Note
Renga also consists of linked Tanka, with as few as two, or hundreds.

•The tapir is a large, herbivorous mammal, similar in shape to a pig, with a short, prehensile nose trunk.
