Fly

Touch me, please.
One more time before I leave.
Oh How could I forget the days?
Those days you were mine,
I was so blind.
How could I not see the signs.

Far from home.
You were the only one.
Who came and kept me from being alone.
Now where are you
And where was I
When you needed me most.

Watching the stars fall out of the sky
I miss your lips, I miss your eyes
I never thought we’d ever say goodbye.
I’m thinking of you tonight
Once again we shall fly
We will fly

I cant imagine the pain you were in
The drugs, the dudes, the abuse, forever feeling used
Such a beautiful soul destroyed by sin
I tried to mend your broken heart
Life has a way to never let you win

Far from home.
You were the only one.
Who came and kept me from being alone.
Now where are you
And where was I
When you needed me most.

Watching the stars fall out of the sky
I miss your lips, I miss your eyes
I never thought we’d ever say goodbye.
I’m thinking of you tonight
Once again we shall fly
We will fly

As the needle sticks in
I start feeling the pain you were in
I’m thinking of you tonight
As I fly
I find your lips, I find your eyes
Now we will never say goodbye
As we fly

Author's Note
I recently lost a very loved friend to suicide last year. She overdosed. I did love her, but I never told her. She went through so many dudes that used and abused her throughout the years during and after high school. And I was the one person she confided in. I never judged her but I also never gave her the chance to feel the happiness that she always wanted. So take a chance on people. Even if your scared to do so.
