The Altar: Where the snakes toil

When I was younger I had to fortified the fortress wall
Between ages where my personality would take its fall
Barricade the doors that I've resided behind,
oh what fun to anticipate shivers down your spine.
Never felt safe sleeping near the enemy
With their loaded guns pointed at my door
Knock knock open up it's anxiety
Ear to the floor
Waiting for the night it's finally curtain call
What should be fear became protocol.

Black powder tempers run hot in the California sun again.
Even as the son my punishment was abandonment
School was no different, just a warzone I prosper in
Teacher's hated me more than I could myself, I don't mind
I don't like me either I can empathize.
Why? is it always so hard for me to smile,
Because my tooth enamel was stripped from the acid I displace.
a Beautiful face but the spirits I invoke,
can rile up armageddon and destroy this helpless place.

I tried to find someone who can see the world like I do,
Try to control me and speak her lies with stunning haikus
I want them to kiss my lips and taste the pain off my tongue
Take me in battered and bloody
Still be able to smile at all the damage I've done

And in time
I'll watch her leave this earth on a high note,
But I lack the octaves.
I'll pack up all my boxes,
Have lust Slit my throat
And drag myself to hell.


I can't feel a thing,
I can't feel passion the same way
I can't feel empathy like you do,
I can't dream the world better like some of you.
I can't pray my troubles away
I can't rest unless there's rain.
I'm always tired each and every day.
Happiness is to wake up just to go back to sleep.
