PENNY NEVER FOUND

PENNY NEVER FOUND

I heard the copper coin clang and sing
as it fell from my tired crossed knee
where I had set it down
after scratching out the last wax box
of the lottery lie
called back and recalled
down down it fell rolling around
set free
just like me
down to Hell, never again found
The copper sang in a lie
as it rolled down the drain
and the sirens sang
as the coppers drove by
Nothing gained, and a penny lost
It was worth the pain of the cost
FALLING DOWN
....Penny never found....
