Thinking about and comparing the bigotries of a racist and an "anti-racist" ... one bigotry is clear and obvious to all including the bigot; the other bigotry is hidden to all including the bigot.

Nicely put - ideological thinking has many faces though they all believe the same with respect to the end justifying the means.

thanks for your note ... I've been thinking of symbolism of control as described by a chap called John Fraim http://www.indigogroup.co.uk/foamycustard/fc050.htm and the idea's applicability to racism as a symbol of control.
