Time Machine

I step into the time machine,
I close my eyes,
mind my dreams.

I know where I will go.
Where will I go?

Out through the glass star shiny sky,
then spinning fast, they circle by.

Circles in my mind.
What will I find?

There is the window,
There he stands,
Holding the spiders in his hands,
Grey shirt, orange sleeves.
Down fall brown leaves.

Gone with the wind I stir on my way,
where will I go?
Where will I stay?

Grey clouds above,
Feel my own love.

Moon shines...
under their shadows,
I hold my arrows.

Whose name will I call?
To save it all?

Gone with the night I see dawn rise,
where will I hold it in my eyes?
Cold skin on the road,
Where my heart flowed.

Words of honour in his hands,
Holds the notebook where he stands,
where will he go?
When will he know?

I close my eyes,
dreams fly by fast,
take me in time to where the past...
is still my day,
And I stay.

I turn a knob,
push a button or two,
don't think too much,
Just when will you be there with me?
In history.

I fly through space,
I cross the sea,
I know the thoughts once were in me.

Whose head do I hold?
While I grow old.

I see the trees,
I see the huts,
Catapults we built to throw the nuts,
Laugh in my dismay,
Whose heart can stay?

I see a smile,
He had a plan,
He was desperate--just a man,
He tried his best.
They stole his nest.

If I must die,
then let it be,
I hold a hand and swear to see...
no evil no more.

This once for sure.

I step out of the time machine,
I will not say what I have seen,
but what I said,
Was all in my head.
