The Shadow
"Is there someone there?"
"Are you following me?"
He hurried along, had to keep moving
Sun was setting casting his shadow wide and long
"Okay where are you?"
"I see you hiding in the corner"
Running only to see no one as his shadow disappeared
"I do not have time for games"
He hurried, his gait quickened
No matter how fast he went a presence followed
Had to get out of the streets
Sun was almost set night would come soon
"Why do you follow me?"
Home was just around the corner
Inside he would be safe
"You are not allowed in"
Shutting the door he was now safe
Reaching for the light switch
A scream, now only a shadow remained
Down by the ally just outside the house a noise could be heard
From out of nowhere there now stood a blue telephone box
