Do Dont Drugs

So the other day I heard a new bell ring in the
drug debate,
It was a voice from the west coast of America,
that bastion of Clean air standards, California.

Well, this time, those very rational people
had an approach to the drug issue that
avoided from the start, a lot of the deaths
caused by Fentanyl, the elephant tranquilizer
where you barely need a piece the size of a grain of salt
to get you your zombie death camp high.

Its all about portion control here.
You see, out in California, the powers that BE,
started out saying people want to get high,
so lets just make it a safer experience.

Just get your drugs tested, so that you KNOW your dose
you are taking.  The fentanyl High is a preferred high, because,
after it is over, your body has just a grain's worth of drugs
to flush from itself, as opposed to the heavy quantity involved
in, say heroin.   Or alcohol for that matter.  

Your body's liver, which is the organ that processes toxins,
has a load on its hands to get rid of, to chemically detoxify the drugs.  

So if you only take a  few micrograms to begin with,
your liver says, 'piece of cake'.   but if you have a fair quantity of the
toxic substance to remove,  your body, and mind, experiences the
'hangover' side of the drug.


So how the drugs do their thing, is,
the drug happens to fit into
various receptors in your brain,
causing the altered state of mind.  

The danger of death results when
those receptors interfere with signals
to keep your body breathing,
and your heart pumping.

So fentanyl kills by you accidentally taking twenty times
too much for a decent high,
which you dont even realize it is too much,
because it is such a small quantity.
If your dealer has poor portion control,
well, you is dead.

Out east, the authorities in charge ,
 with their puritan prosecutorial
point of view,
The authorities do not get involved in any way,
in making a user's drug portion tested,
so that the user will not die.  

Instead, the East Coast Approach is,
To let it happen, to let untested, unkown drugs
off the street , end up in the hands of addicts,

then have the first responders frantically go out and
deal with the problem,
trying in vain to resuscitate the people who 'overdosed'
They get on TV, to lament the loss of such a young and vibrant life
Hopefully, to steer the viewers away from drugs.

Unfortunately, however an addict got led into the path of
drugs, such as getting an injury, then getting addicted to painkillers,
so when the doctor cuts them off, they seek the streets. are
driven despite someone dying to the left and right of them.

In fact, a dealer may spike one of his sales with a lethal dose
of fentanyl, just so the word gets around that he is selling
the potent stuff, so more users will flock to him.

That is just too Eff'd up though.

how come the rash of fentanyl deaths is not happening
in the West Coast, like it is in the East?
It Is Because
The West Coast governments actively get involved with
outreach stations, where users can test their drugs, to know what
they are taking.
