My father died 6 days before his 99th birthday, leaving my mother, his spouse of 67-plus years, who was then 94, and my 7 (1 deceased) siblings. Mama, now 106, still holds the fort as the family matriarch.

This struck my heart, and I can tell the subject has left it's mark on yours. I feel as though I can feel your emotions through this. It was very beautifully written. I also love the graphics. Great write :)
