Simple Can Be Beautiful
Words tumble out slowly
off into the depths of my darkness
stumbling fumbling
to find their way
towards the light that is shining from you
cautiously I move
not knowing false from truths
there's never been a place to run
there's never been a place to hide
until those blues cascaded my direction
the sea called and I listened
my heart beat as you glistened
as even the simple things showed the way
lost in a field of green
I watched as the flowers bloomed
and the skies opened up
the fragrance was singing your soul
and I just happened upon it
