The Painter's Touch
After the tasting
that never quenches
entirely
I took you
like a canvas
rolled out
with soft dabs
from this brush
to alleviate
the suffering
from the spots
that kept you in knots
A kinder treatment
needed to invigorate
the trusts needed
to unclench
the dismissive,
selfish pricks
who could never
serenade
such a work of art
I know they clawed at you
without a care
for your sensitivities
that's why
I must remind you
that these impatient impulses
can be furnished
to fit you
in compassion
and approbation
The sigh signals me
that you are responding well
to the treatment
and when we swell
we shall swell together
that never quenches

I irritate myself when I keep reusing the same word. It was a fitting one to replace the usual one that I had in mind. Look forward to see the fine pairing. ;)

Don't laugh at this as it was more cheesy than remembered. Lol & I found a major place to edit reminding me to double check the same word isn't used 3 times back to back. *facepalm*
