Served My Purpose

Nothing more than wasted time.
I see this now as I look into your eyes. Your hand is in my hand I grabbed it as you lost your footing on this loose rock trail. I hear them coming that staggering walk they have, but in my mind plays out the life that we have lived. Yet it's only been a few seconds and you can see it in my eyes all the bullshit you put me through has finally cought up with me as you plead with me to pull you up. The smell of death rolls in as the horde has stopped below you reaching and screaming for the flesh that hangs above them and I just hold you there like a sweet meat treat as your lips say " Please don't let go of me" I say to you just remember to you "My purpose has been served". I let go and that look on her face was that of a lost child as she falls into the horde her screams can be heard all over the hillside, as her body gets torn apart.
