Image for the poem I feel you, I do

I feel you, I do

standing on softened terrain, I contemplate the pain I create...
amidst God's sighs, the hairs on my skin raise
the blades of green soothe my eyes, my eyes that still sting
in reminisce of the memories that were almost discarded,
and there it is again, God's breath breathing life unto me
undeserving, blasphemous, under blurry blue and white hues
the hairs on my neck sway like the trees, and I wonder, is it you that speaks?
blessed and cursed with the inability to wear masks;
I cannot hide,
this is me
and for the broken hearted
I hope you heal, forgive
not for my, but
for your own sake
