handful of pills
tequila bath
one slipped away
bent down to pick it up…

they kicked in…

stripped naked
slithering on your floor
like a mighty king snake
i ease myself into your waters
flexing expanding
undulating surging and swelling
i feel your depth
and as i sink in
come upon an ancient stream
deep within
its waters gushing forth
a symphony of seagulls

I wake to a room
thick with the smell of
sex & sweat
booze & nicotine

in the bed next to me
a girl
silk scarf wrapped tightly
twice around her neck
she seems content
so I throw on some clothes
and head out for coffee
