Story to glory

Bored of life, thought I could take a chance
In search of changing things or just my stance
I took a decision, for no reason, with the least precision
Went on a trek, that I used to call a nuisance.

Exaggeration, Life threatening situation, no preparation
With no idea of what would happen
Met some strangers, who could pose some danger
but we ended up being each other's weapon

Filled with zeal, we started
With luggage on back and hope in heart, we departed
No matter the count, if you fall, you shall rise
was the only rule to walk on the ice.

Climbed a mountain, and felt myself on brow
It started to snow,as if God conveyed, there's more to go.
Days demanded energy, but when we got tired
In night, we felt safe and snug around bonfire.

Everyone was different had their own life story
The formulas they used in writing their theory

The pilot told us how to control a plane
If it is in scorching sun, or when it start to rain
Mariner prepared us to overcome high tides
A kiwi with his stories took us for funny rides
And there came some engineers like me
Foreseeing their future, how dangerous it could be :)

In motive of creating hindrances, weather gave all its try
Seeing the casualties, never did we petrify
Conquered adverse situations since our Josh was always high
As in the dark shines the firefly

The last night we were together, celebrations were grand
And, finally came the day we all had to disband
May be the last time we saw each other
Separation is a cruel Law of Nature

All the memories that we will take along
Falling on the ice or singing late night songs
When troubles looked like King Kong
But everything went right and nothing was wrong

A lesson of life that I learnt
Just give your best and see problems getting burnt
I've penned down some moments,so they never perish
Some moments of life that we'll always cherish...

Author's Note
I recently went on one of the most difficult trek in India named Chadar Trek and got so mesmerized by the experience that I found the topic for my next poem.
