Trick to Life
Weeks go by, days will fade,
All of these are memories made.
Times will come and they will go,
And throughout life, all things will show.
Spin your web, twist and turn,
Catch your prey, live and learn.
Love your enemies and trust your heart.
Trust is hard but do your part.
Cry your hurt, scream your fear...
But don’t let your enemies see a tear.
Check your attitude and use it wise,
Watch the young and be careful to advise.
Weakened love and strengthened hate,
All of these feelings our hearts debate.
Cross your fingers and spin around,
Once you fall, get off the ground.
Obey your elders, beware your foes,
Never touch the thorn of a rose.
Pick your battles, choose them well.
Don’t fight twice, yet you may rebel.
Forgive and forget the worst of sins,
But never let the worst side win.
If they do, don’t show your strife...
For this, my friend, is the trick to life.
