Adopted Point Of View

Can’t justify or judge the actions of Buddha;
As he sat beneath the Bodhi Tree,
He knew in his Heart the import of ‘Being’-
‘Alive and Free’.
Looking for a larger purpose
Than raising a family,
He abandoned his life and that of others
In search of True Identity , Within –
Where lies all potentiality .

At the point when he sat ,
Must have known he’d attract Antipathy
At his seeming lack of Reciprocity .
Yet t'was only his Loved Ones
That felt the deserted isolation ,
Trapped by pre-conditioned Affiliations
And expectations –
Without much inclination for
reflection or Meditation ,
On Humanities,
or their Own destination –
A constant source of Mans frustrations
As he dwells in Earthly Facinations
blithely seen as Reality.

the only abandonment  that Man should feel
are his consequences for
ignoring the Divine Ideal -
in favour of a hampster wheel ...
which nowadays spins at lightning pace
discombobulating the Human Race.

The analogy between the wheel and the tree
Presents a distinct possibility –

Can’t sit under a tree that’s on the wheel -

Can run on the wheel that’s under a tree.
