Not too many times can judgmental recall being mad at her Mother for how she did things, ran things, executed and or carried herself. And uh well you know every generation let alone personality type won’t be the same. My colleague is telling me how it’s always a problem with her daughter; some years ago now. She’s mad because: she feels she should have more gadgets, the Mother is trying to keep her from making a mess of her life with some boy (getting pregnant: too early/too ill equipped/ too unprepared for what all that really means and entails/details, too indifferently committed/ too many twos-that’s her concern-she told me) or hell girl too for that matter, the father was absent emotionally and financially. The daughter is bothered by everything she ain’t got and no appreciation for what she does like her Mother. Now, some kids- no matter what you do; it’s not good enough and other kids don’t care. Ok so here goes me. We’re at the zoo and all the kids are getting the green dinosaur mold a rama. My Mother says you’re getting a t-shirt instead. That was one of the first times the brat ever remembers copping a slight attitude because…My Mother would’ve knocked the fuck out of me, called the police dept, told them she did it and then signed my name/ my Dad’s last name..he’s sergeant city and it would’ve been a wrap. It wasn’t “a child’s state” back then late 79/80ish. His daughter’s tripping- end of story. And conscious couldn’t be embarrassed not like that anyway. All over 25 cents but that’s what the act of nature wanted when the shirt costed way more…just learning to evaluate value and the only value items have is the value that we assign…there’s the mysticism.
