Addict

Your wasted, noncomplacent, passed out in the basement.
Whiskeys lover, looking for excuses, trying to find a cover.
Your family forgot you. Even your wife left you.
Your wasted, noncomplacent, relying on black tar and percoset.
Your afraid of life. Hot flashes an minor setbacks, your whole life's off track.
Now a has-been, an ex-husband, a used to be father.
No one cares now. No one wants to bother.
Your hopes in a syringe. Your on a whiskey binge, you gave up once again.
You steal from kin, lost all trust within.
You lie to self, lie to the world... Flunked as a daddy, you barely know your little girl.
No one cares now, they set you down.
Drugs got you doing time.
Looking filthy, your sneaky like an alley rat.
A full fledge addict. You can't help it.
Try to join N.A, even tell your little girl your looking for a better way.
She believes, she prays.
Black tar became your necessity, your habit and you can't grab it.
You've become a sad excuse with nothing to lose.
All you love is booze and drug abuse.
Your very existence has become tragic, your very essence is but that of an Addict...
