Confirmation

I knew I had a delicate heart
but it's been scientifically confirmed
that the wiring on the left
will need further inspection

Another condition collected
to carry with me
that could/or could not
have continuing complications

This fourth decade
is starting to remind me
that I am catching up
to the elders

They've pencilled in the next test
and until then
I will have to wonder
about the severity
and shop around
for life insurance
and start preparing
for possibilities
even if far, far away

If it was just me,
I could let it ride out,
but it's been scientifically confirmed
that I have a delicate heart.
