Electric bulbs not half a daffodil
I want to write. But what?
Yesterday I walked the woods.
That made writing easy.
One line in seconds.
Now I need to write
But four walls and electric lights
Do not inspire as did the storm.
All is warm and carpet -quiet
Jack black and waiting for his supper
Our bond agreed two years ago.
No walk tonight .
It is cold, snow just round the corner.
Blogs a plenty, make me think
Silent, faceless print,
Strange names hiding
Yet open, honest to
Illuminate by what is left unsaid.
Do not say too much,
Love your neighbour as yourself,
Take the spirit from those words
They are well meant.
Flickering eyes will not distract
A steady gaze means little.
Make sense of this, I dare you.......
Do not waste your time......
Nonsense, no sense, take your pick.
Without the sun
My battery has run low
The light grows dim
the w..o.r..d...s... come slow.
Electric bulbs not half a daffodil.
Radiator walls do not shine
Do not warm as does the sun
Yet burn one to the touch.
There is no sense in this,
Do not tell me so.
My day has been good.
Nothing more than ordinary.
Simple time, sixty to the hour.
