Remember
I thought about you today as I gazed out into our past
where daylight never ended
and the moments went too fast
I didn't shed a tear for us, well maybe there was just one
to remind me of all the fun we had
before life took back her sun
I watched in all amazement
as nature ran her course
the seedlings needing tending
as the weeds were in full force
I heard a voice today and thought you had come my way
it was singing about the weather
and happy when skies are grey
I also went by the ocean
and paddled on off to sea
I wondered if you were looking
and caught a glimpse of me
My blues gleamed off the water
and there was a ripple floating by
I reached out my hand to touch it
and saw your love that hid inside
I thought about you today
just like yesterday and the day before
if I sail off in your direction
will you be waiting by the shore
