remember
Details
but for a brief glimpse

Dreams..they come and go...

I was searching on foot
Unfamiliar
territory local
An address with a conservatory

Someone from my past whom
I disliked
I said I'd be there
On foot
No phone
No direction but a road name

A postman for directions

Finding a sunny square
Still the wrong place
People milling in the sunshine
On their phones
One quite loud to my right

To my left
Tall
Exchanged a quick giggle about
loud in public
 
Then I was off again
Walking
Entering a shop
That sold many things
Bees In particular

But I looked back
And they at me

Standing in the long narrow shop
No direction
Tall was there
By my side
As if natural to be there
Took my breath I do declare
We talked some
Like it was something
We'd done for a lifetime of
togetherness in such a brief
few minutes
My mother materialised
Assessed the situation
As mothers do
Whispering
~Don't you be letting that one go
will you~
Before vanishing

We returned outside
Exchanged numbers
My phone. .go figure!
I had it seemingly all the time
(Dreams have the right it appears, to change situations adhoc)
the last four digits I couldn't recall
Having to ask for repeats like a loon
Yet they didn't mind

I guess like me
seen something
at first glance
that would create many
memories for a lifetime if one
had a lifetime

Though my dream switched
assessed my reaction when colour
& height changed
Though it needn't have tried to
trip me up as it really made no difference

And then my dream got bored
with its toying of my mind
switching off to allow me my waking
And get this dream writing complete
