YEARNING
The depth of one's heart is what makes us human
The depth of any ocean is much like that of any man
With the garbage that settles to the bottom of its old age
Angry waves that are cold and bitter
Cradling from the East to the West
Tsunami rise
Prophetic signs
Three stories high
Screaming through its hollow mouth
Yearning to be heard through salty tears
Stricken pain from the illness and disease
From toxins permeating it with plastics and oils
Her desperate high pitched moans to the moon at night
Never stopping by day
Dying alone in her bowels.....
The depth of any ocean is much like that of any man
With the garbage that settles to the bottom of its old age
Angry waves that are cold and bitter
Cradling from the East to the West
Tsunami rise
Prophetic signs
Three stories high
Screaming through its hollow mouth
Yearning to be heard through salty tears
Stricken pain from the illness and disease
From toxins permeating it with plastics and oils
Her desperate high pitched moans to the moon at night
Never stopping by day
Dying alone in her bowels.....
