Breathe
She keeps telling me to breathe
When I contemplate this planet's end
I inflate both my rigid lungs
Still believing in our cruel end
But her touch is there to soothe
My neurosis at its dismal height
She strokes away persistent fear
Calls me stalwart, her gallant knight
Then I forget impending doom
When her lips and tongue start into play
My angst is utterly dissolved
When I breathe deeply, come what may.
