1st off, let me say, I loved the graphics.
I liked this because it reads somewhat Dark
yet sober ending with endearing hope.

Par for the course for my "love life."

Your interpretation is right on target:  when I realised that the whole was sounding rather heavy -- too doleful for a Valentine piece -- I was led to rescue the conclusion and turn things around to the positive.
