Short stories #3
Trillions of hours
Billions of miles
I would wait forever
Just to walk with you a while
The secrets that you hide
You keep hidden deep inside
As if someone who really tried
Could open your heart, if they really pried
While we can describe what our eyes may see
And we can theorize what may be
The future is not meant for us to see
It's hard to continue going
When you have lost half of your heart
Imagination racing
You are never really apart
While you may no longer talk
Your final words contain a great impart
So much like your bodies
Your minds must soon depart
Billions of miles
I would wait forever
Just to walk with you a while
The secrets that you hide
You keep hidden deep inside
As if someone who really tried
Could open your heart, if they really pried
While we can describe what our eyes may see
And we can theorize what may be
The future is not meant for us to see
It's hard to continue going
When you have lost half of your heart
Imagination racing
You are never really apart
While you may no longer talk
Your final words contain a great impart
So much like your bodies
Your minds must soon depart
