The fear signaled catastrophe
allowing him to plummet
into self-pity and exhaustion
that annoying voice
picking at his worth
and telling lies
to seed his undoing

But he took that energy
placing it to the thick of his grip
"Are you really sure you feel that way?"
brandishing his engorged reaction for her to see
"Do you think I'm lying?"

Words no longer able to sting
summoned back to reality
"When you speak to me that way..."
sheathed in her throat
her defenses unable to dismiss
that she spurned him to action
"...you know you must make it right!"

Buried to the base
and back again with a pull
slurping at the tip
gliding her tongue
and pausing

"Do you forgive me?"
