Beneath the surface
Ripples on calm water. Sunlight glinting. Reflections shimmering. Birds singing.
Deep under water, the fight rages on. Neither fish giving in.
Both in pain.
Exhausted.
Blood infusing the water,
like smoke curling into the air.
But nobody can see.
Why not swim away?

When I started writing it I didn't know what it would end up being about, I just chose a random starting point. Then it evolved. Now I can see it's about a childhood situation. Thank you.

I often write that way ... I just start writing usually with some vague idea and then it either coalesces or it doesnt ... often does though ... Bless and love ...
