Weather Report

The rain cascades, a deluge
Gushing down the street
The lightning strikes and does prevail
But the turbulence is sweet

We choose to remain inside
Whispering within twilight
Of time spent beneath clear skies
When everything seemed right

Still the weather has its way
And we listen to turmoil
Here we are, both warm and dry
But in bed begin to roil

We create our private storm
A tempest of only two
But she shines as I enter her
And darkened skies turn blue.
