Within Dreams of You

Shall I tell you of the many things I have seen
Have viewed within my dreams of you?
The wealth of emotion shaping fantastic scenes
Your presence bringing each to vivid life
Drawing me past the limits of my imagination
Further down the rabbit hole of your own.
Melding your desires with those of mine
Each sinfully sweet moment spent in darkened joy
Flow into a shadowed room, circular with a canopied bed
I’m shackled to posts made of in-scripted yet solid oak
Blindfold dimming my sight, voice caressing your ears
Bent to your will, or are you bent to mine?
Laid in a field of thorns, your form rising above
Loving tenderness in every touch and line
Scratches have never felt so sensually decadent
Is it for my pain, our pain, your pain?
Falling…forever downward we speed without check
Limbs entwined, moaning, without care of the sudden stop
Lost in the thrill of rapturous entanglement
Do we persist in a seductive dance or is it perverse?
Laid across an altar, sign of holy affair above,
Torrent of hunger blasting through eyes of forest
Fierce and thorough, grinding through fulfillment
Offer up a sacrifice, or is it through love - enlightenment achieved?
Stand in a vortex of firestorm, wind whipping flames
Ice of blizzard covered tundra rapidly melting from my heat
Mind screaming, emotions roiling out of control
Will I someday succumb to the rapids of my own lack of control?
Parting my sheet of fire as if they do not exist, you step through
Distance closes swiftly, drawn into your tight embrace
Your firm words dropping like a balm on my weary soul
Amazed at your power over me…it has been there all along
This, but a few instances, in which we spend precious time
Some hot and wild, beyond reality to replicate,
Others achingly luscious in their simplicity
If dreams are wishes of the conscious mind…
