A Special Letter

A lovely letter was addressed to me
The words were very nice
This letter filled me with glee
It was rather concise

The words made me cry
It was a note about my life
My eyes were not dry
The letter said I was a good wife

My life was a series of tests
The journey would be hard
Life was not like the rest
Often I would be on guard

I'd be a mother of special one's
Learners that learn different
A daughter and a beautiful son
There might be some whispering

Our journey would be long
And very gratifying
This is where I belong
My children would be inspiring

This letter was from up above
It was to give me courage
It was filled with lots of love
He didn't want me to be discouraged

God said there would be a special place
That my work wouldn't be unheard
I felt an angel touch my face
I treasure this letter with these lovely words
