Image for the poem Mirrored Dreams

Mirrored Dreams

Soft emotions of reflections mirrored within lucid dreams
Two galloping hearts on the run so it may seem
Mirror Mirror on the wall
Whispers to my heart surrendered to the sweetest emotional fall

Strong hands gently bathed my skin with such a tender caress
Rapture spilled forth whenever our souls met
Sinking and blending fate as we felt
Blanketing my mind while making me melt

Was my lips tenderly kissed
My salacious needs passionately licked
Moans of pleasure as streams of ecstasy set adrift
Mirrored dreams of a stolen heart reminisce

Did you take my mind pass the stars
Grounded my feet when floating too far
Kissed the sun, made passionate love to me on the moon
Coveted the essence of my soul with heat hotter than the month of June
Only to a leave a trail of despair, now gone too soon

Peering closer, you touched my soul as in a mirrored reflection
Hesitant souls for a rebirth connection

Streams of desire floating, somewhere has sailed adrift
Fate and Destiny requiring an uplift
What happens when there’s now shattered glass
Deficiency of reflections to embrace the past
Absence of melodies to allow mirrored dreams to fade into the past
Broken images for the mind to ever rehash

In those shattered pieces lays my heart’s serenity
Remnants of mirrored dreams forgotten of two stalwart identities
