Haven

Both seeked sweet shelter - a safe haven of mercy; constantly treading a barrage and downpour of storms . Never a touch of tenderness was ever to be felt; two hearts had turned cold. Craving to be discovered and their souls truly found; turning to one facing their very same stormy hell.

With yearnings and passion to be felt with another; both were bound with longing.      Sifting through the pieces of what's left of the other; souls so battered and broken.   Comfort taken in someone knowing the despair;  to salvage a wreckage- heart, mind, body and soul.  Bound by loneliness, fear, hopelessness and despair; their two scarred and wounded hearts opened and united. Awakened, were senses barren, ones they watched ever so slowly slip and dissipate; they earnestly sought and discovered; bringing the others body to life.

Laying in such tender comfort;  the soft, warm and welcome feel,  flesh to flesh; so unknown.  Reveling in feelings of desire, contentment and belonging; ones that had once been until being trashed and trampled upon. Their arms clinging with fortitude and limbs entwined; such an intimacy that until now , a long and sadly forgotten memory.

Their ecstasy, would they soon find to be nothing but fleeting; just for now had they found their safe haven of mercy.       Overwhelmed with joy as their bitter sadness had just fled; they smiled. Then in flowing streams, tears welled; streaking their faces. They laid in the arms that belonged to and were of another. Just for tonight; sheltered from their storms were they lovers .
