A Gift From Me to You

Something in the air
Whispers farflung from madness fall upon me
Restless, I pace this place
I suffer them
The darkness lingers on in death

Seldom do their eyes stare back
Haunting like ancient portraits
An alabaster gift for the living to falter
Better days in memories
I discard all in epic blunder

"Oh , what a gift I have to offer"

The coming ways of shadows linger
A pinch of flesh in leu of death
Grey dressings for those abandoned
Mourning the blade the servants shudder
A kiss of steel for all I lament

"In their death is my salvation"
