It's a force of nature
Do you think I can resist?
Do you think me immature
In this claim that I insist?
I am not immune
yet I persist
Your rip current of woe
Drags me helplessly along
Do you think I can resist?
Cannot sing a different song
Caught up in your sad tune
Yet I persist
As I brush my face on sand
In the madness of your riptide
I feel the warmth of your hand
I know I will breathe at the topside
Caught up in your riptide
Taking me for your ride
Can't resist the riptide
Your wild riptide
I cannot resist
Yet I persist
