Partner in Crime
it was nice
to speak with you again
walking side by side
like partners in crime
reminds me why
I miss our friendship so much
the laughs we had
made everyone else uneasy
to be wild with you again
a piece that was missing
I needed it
loved how you smiled
always with such confidence
so much stronger than I’ll ever be
I seen your insecurities too
your vulnerability
reminded me you were still human
and not some glorious angel
forced me to see
you would grow older
and grow apart from me
we were not destiny
not happily ever after
still, it was nice to do this again
even if it was just in a dream

It is a hard thing to carry, to know what was once everything will never be the same again. Brilliant write!

I actually saw the person I wrote this about the other day. Was kind of weird to see them. Wanted to say hi but I felt like their life is so different. Probably best to keep moving and just hope they are doing well.
