Preceptor

(Linda Clifford - Runaway Love 12")

My mother was in the clouds sometimes well responding to her generation-The chosen ones: Baby boomers-They worked hard as hell but still with something more to show. She never had nothing say like “You may have comparable capacity, maybe better in certain areas but you will at some point be overlooked because of your skin color” (it’s more of a class issue still) but it’s nice to have someone offer a comprehensive overview; write you a prescription for survival. There were general tools parents gave; not convinced they really do anymore: don’t leave the house without any money, don’t wear summer clothes in Winter, don’t leave the house without taking a bath or shower because you might have an accident in route and have to go the er but my spiritual preceptor got me straight on the disciples of life: (Just because you’re trying to improve; don’t expect the world condition to meet you on those same grounds)- ole white guy out of rural Kentucky (deceased now: one water drop taken from the ocean; put back in: Ananda movement working 3-4 jobs to establish that ashram no fucking luxury of being sponsored by Muammar Gaddafi- not so bad after all... like other temples under “the same” air quality with everybody calling him a goddamn fool (rational inference; to invest in people-infrastructure won’t let you down as fast right?; still operational expenses can outpace systems but a fool to care about a movement that might not care about you, in return oh yes we did: loved him) with 16 siblings good god almighty; (well my great grandparents had 18ish now some people did it to farm the land especially back then) and he believed in a policy of no children let me tell ya or 1 at most. You’re better off without kids, he use to say; nothing wayward about his practice.
