In My Book of Devotions
Today is a day that He made for me,
Because I’m alive and now I can see.
For which I will rise and gladly rejoice,
As I greet the morn’, I know it’s His choice.
I’m bless’d & wash’d clean as was His own son,
The rains finally came as once He had done.
Down in the southland, where I’d always been;
Fire of Hell was bringing drought for our sins.
To burn and ravage our homes to the ground,
Taking my family away, into harm.
Rains turned to flooding, hills’ mudslides yellowed,
I listened, trembling, as thunder bellowed.
His children would cry, and drown in the storm,
Lost sheep discouraged they’d ever been born.
And though, come what may, is what it will be,
Today was a day that He made for me.
Psalm 118:24 ( January 13 )
