Image for the poem                        touch me not

                      touch me not

can still see the dying tail lights
like the evanescent flash of a celestial comet
behind a sand storm of sorts on the rusty road
fading into the scurry and sounds of nocturnal life

another world would be reached
a new level breached
while I stand here
under the gigantic shadow
of the ageless banyan tree
with trapped secrets

can feel the rhythmic beats of dying hope
sucked into the never ending pitch black abyss
in a few minutes it would end
like the lithium battery
as I wonder about the expiry dates of emotions
brewing and blooming in my scarlet heart
my mind racing across linear time
in multiple dimensions
unhindered thoughts blasting
thru the heavy ashes of time

in another world see myself executed
for thought crime
break into a faint smile
as blind bats converse above
dangling
facing me in their
existential aestivation

the breeze blows across my face
smelling of sweet decadence

a road kill perhaps

a young one startled
by a speeding flash
dragged across the road
like destiny downhill

start to walk towards
the darkness
one leap a time

the umbilical cord lies
severed behind
bleeding memories

the sepulchral sun goes into
oblivion while the giant pearl
beams

another
turn of the wheel
day
night

death and distance
seemingly constants
while the rest
decaying and living
more variables
entangled in the coil
serpentine and stoic

the last stop is far behind
the last contact a distant memory
now i walk into the wild in search
of the lost silver chord
[the one connection of the cognizance & the fluid]
leaving past anthropomorphic gods
and ancient demons
in search of the higher plane and
the highest truth
surrounded by gripping calm and
evergreen flora [Enchanted]

till I reach my last mile
till my tryst with the one within
