Tell Me About The Morning

Do you wake up lonely
pulling fragments of dreams
that have collided with memories?

Rare morning silence
returning the travelling mind
to the given body.

Maybe wet or hard?

Do you weave it into a collage
and use these visual aids
of the imagination
while your hand
creeps under the covers
to engage?

Or do you dismiss
in positive anticipation
that the day may gift you
the chance to harness it
into a true situation?

Maybe you do both.

Lying here
before the race of the day
will sneak away this tranquil blessing

I hope someone will tell me.
